Care Guide

Every Mimazori garment carries its own care instructions on the attached label or within the product description on its page. Always check those specific directions before cleaning, treating a stain, or storing the piece. The guidance below covers general handling practices for the delicate fabrics, embellishments, and structured details found across our formal and evening wear collections.

Before You Wear

Many of our gowns and sets incorporate layered tulle, 3D floral appliques, rhinestone clusters, beadwork, lace-up corset backs, or metallic zipper accents. These elements are attached by hand and can catch on jewelry, handbags, rough surfaces, or even a chair edge.

Put on your dress or set before adding accessories, and remove jewelry before taking the garment off. When fastening a lace-up back, pull the cords evenly from the center outward rather than tugging from one side. If a garment has a back zipper, hold the fabric flat on either side of the zipper tape as you close it to avoid pinching the lining or nearby pleats.

After Wearing: Freshening Up

For a single event, you usually do not need to wash a formal piece. Instead:

  • Hang the garment on a padded hanger in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight for a few hours to release odors and moisture from wear.
  • Use a garment brush with soft bristles to gently sweep dust from satin-finish surfaces, working in one direction along the fabric grain.
  • For pleated tulle skirts, avoid pressing or compressing the layers; let the volume settle naturally on the hanger.

If a small spot appears, blot it lightly with a clean, dry white cloth. Do not rub, and do not apply water, stain remover, or any solvent unless the product's own care label explicitly permits it. If the spot is near beadwork, sequins, or applique flowers, stop and consult a professional rather than risk loosening the attachment.

Storing Between Events

Formal gowns with structured bodices, boning, or heavy embellishment should be stored hanging, not folded. Use a wide padded hanger that supports the shoulder line. For tulle skirts, you can loosely gather the volume with a soft cotton drawstring bag to protect the layers from snagging on neighboring items in the closet.

Keep garments away from damp areas, plastic dry-cleaning bags left on for extended periods (they trap moisture), and prolonged direct sunlight, which can fade delicate dye colors over time. If storing a satin-finish piece for more than a season, wrap it in breathable cotton tissue paper rather than plastic.

When to Seek Professional Help

Several of our product pages recommend professional dry cleaning as the safest option for structured, lined, or heavily embellished garments. If your item's label or description states this, follow it. You should also turn to a qualified specialist if:

  • A stain has set in or covers a large area.
  • A rhinestone, bead, or applique petal has come loose.
  • A zipper pull is stiff or the teeth are misaligned.
  • The lace-up cords are frayed or a hook has bent.

Do not attempt to re-glue embellishments, re-thread lace-up closures, or iron directly over beaded or tulle surfaces.
